Here is this week’s BEST deals at Giant/Stop & Shop. The deals are based on a Giant ad in central VA, but be sure to check your own ad as prices & sale items may vary.
You must sign up for a store savings card to receive the sale prices.
Giant doubles coupons up to $0.99. There is a limit of 4 double coupons per like item or coupon per person. For BOGO items, you must buy 2 items to get the discount.

Remember to compare these prices to competitors fliers, and price match when you find a better deal – especially for your weekly shopping items such as milk, eggs, and produce! Before going to the store, I usually look through all of my fliers and take notes on a piece of paper of the items that I need that week and what store has it on sale. Then when I’m at the store, I can reference my “cheat sheet” to compare the prices. The “cheat sheet” also comes in handy in the checkout line when its time to locate all of the items in the multiple fliers. I usually put all of my regularly priced items on the belt first, followed by all of the price-matched items. That gives me time to get organized while the cashier starts scanning.
Make sure you check the HOT! list for great everyday savings! The new HOT! items are listed first alphabetically followed by the ongoing HOT! items.
Walmart matchups are a little different than other stores because they rarely put out a weekly sales flyer, and when they do most of the prices advertised are their regular “Everyday Low Prices,” rather than a special sale. Thus, most of the match-ups on this list are “Every Day Low Price” items that match up well with coupons that are currently available. The prices are gathered by physically going to the store and recording prices, then matching up current coupons. If you haven’t seen previous week’s matchups, be sure to look at those, as most of the deals are still current (as long as the coupon can still be printed or isn’t expired).

Walmart’s new coupon policy is very friendly towards couponers AND allows for overage, so there are some great opportunities for saving. Walmart also does price matching for advertised sale prices, and BOGO if a price is listed. They also accept coupons for price matched items, which can really add up the savings! Be sure to print a copy of the Walmart Coupon Policy to take with you.

It is a busy week at Jewel-Osco with a lot of different promotions going on! There is a 3 Day Sale, a lot of B1G1 products, and 10 items for $10 sale ($1 each). Also there is a promotion from P&G and PepsiCo when you buy $20 worth of products you’ll receive a $5 off CAT on your next order. I didn’t list any of these items because there didn’t seem to be any exceptional deals, but the new P&G coupon book comes out on Sunday, so maybe there will be some good deals then! Also make sure you look in your Sunday Tribune for the NEW Jewel Osco coupon book!
